Residents without Adjacent Parking

It is not practical or safe to use trailing extension leads across public foot-paths, etc.  However, there are other options.

  • collate questions that people might have and research answers - we are happy to help

  • get signed commitment from other employees or residents with an estimated EV purchase year

Workplace Charging

Rather than charging at home and commuting to work, workplace charging can be considered charging at work and commuting home.

Is this right for me?

  • Ideal if most of your journeys are commuting and you commute about 3 times a week

  • It can be quick to install

  • The typical average cost of using a workplace charger is highly variable depending on the employer's policies, parking layout, etc.  The cost of the electricity (at17p/kWh) is unlikely to be free, so you should expect a minimum of £400/year (i.e. about 50% of the cost of diesel)
